I remember meeting Geoff on his first morning in Richmond. Before he began a day of interviews for the town administrator job we toured the town. At one point, the clouds parted, the sun shone, the hills across the valley glowed and Geoff just yelled out "it's so beautiful!" From that moment, it was clear that Geoff, despite his reserved style, had a passionate side as well--and that he was the right person for the job.
