Georg B. Gehrung

I am sad to hear of George´s passing. I knew George for many years through work at MTN Bell, U S West and Qwest.

Georg and I worked for Ma Bell in the 70s. Every football season we would play our football game every week. He was a good friend and never failed to exchange Christmas cards every year. I will miss you good buddy.

God broke the mold after he made Georg. He was a good and kind man--a talented musician who donated so much of his time to St. Pauls. I enjoyed hearing him play the guitar and sing. Perhaps this thought will be of comfort: "Death is not extinguishing the light. It's just putting out the lamp because the dawn has come."

Nancy and family. Please accept my deep sympathies for your loss. Nancy, I remember there were a few times we would be meeting at your home for sorority. He always said his hello then off to another room he went. After all these yrs I'm sure there are many many memories that will comfort you in the coming days, months and years. Please take care.

I had the pleasure of working with George in our Cub Scout Pack at Longfellow School. Our thoughts and good wishes for Scoutmaster George.
