George "Gregorio" Chavez

George ?Gregorio? Chavez, age 71, born May 8, 1943 in Carrizozo, NM a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 10, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Efran Apodaca and Antenacio Chavez; his brother, Jose; sisters, Flora Zamora, Josie Aragon and Gregordia. George is survived by his loving wife, Irene; his sons, Manuel, Christopher, Anthony and Michael; daughters, Jennifer, Laurie and Bernadette; numerous grandchildren; his sister, Roberta Lopez; brothers, Julian Chavez, Manuel Chavez and Pete Chavez. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 5:00PM at the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, located at 225 San Mateo Blvd NE, with a celebration of his life to follow at 6:00PM. Final viewing will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 9:00AM at the Church of the Ascension, located at 2150 Raymac Rd. SW, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM.
