George E. Ader, age 78, of Brick Township died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at home. George was born in Point Pleasant and was a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant and Brick Township. George was a retired computer operator for the Asbury Park Press. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Laurelton in Brick and a member of the Old Guard of Point Pleasant and the Point Pleasant Elks.

He was pre-deceased by his sister Carolyn Rasmussen.

George is survived by his son, Steven Ader; two daughters, Kim Salerno and Lisa Ader; his brother Jack Ader; and one grandchild Nicholas Salerno.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 5PM to 8PM at Colonial Funeral home 2170 Hwy. 88 Brick. A funeral service will begin at 7:30 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.colonialfuneralgroup.com.

Rest in Peace my old friend. George and I both started at APP in 1964. We have been friends ever since. We always got together with friends to watch the Daytona 500. Sadly there will be an empty chair this year. Very sad.

Our heartfelt condolences from all the members the Ocean County Coin club. George was a faithful member ,always sitting in the front row with his cup of coffee. He really enjoyed the activities we had at our meetings.So long my friend.......
