So sorry to hear of George Akel's passing. Some of us have been where Sally and her family are right now. It is a sad spot that never really goes away. My thoughts are with you and I share your sorrow. Doris Lawton.

I grew up knowing the Akel families through the Giant, my parents and brothers aunt aunt and uncle worked at the Giant. They are a great family and George will be missed, he was a dear man. To the Akel family, I am so sorry to hear about George's passing. He left his mark in many young teens by instilling a great work ethic that I still carry to this day. He was admired and respected by many. Prayers and condolences to the family.

Dear Sally and family, Bill and I were saddened when we learned of George's passing. We, like so many others, will remember his kindness and fairness to us in business as well as his friendship in later years.
