He made a significant contribution to the transformation of the County as it planned for and reacted to the growth in the Shenandoah Valley. I first knew George in his role as a director and counsel for Dominion Bank. He also had a the task of containing the sometimes over exuberance of Francis Bell. They made a great team and the bank was the beneficiary. It was a privilege to work with George. He will be greatly missed.
