George Andrew Allain

George Andrew Allain, 79, a native of Plaquemine, Louisiana, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and a receiving clerk with Ethyl Chemical Corp. for 38 years until his retirement, died at his home on the afternoon of Saturday, September 23, 2000. Visiting is scheduled for Monday, September 25, 2000, 5-9 p.m., and Tuesday, September 26, 8-9:40 a.m., at Wilbert Funeral Home, 24120 Railroad Avenue, Plaquemine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, officiated by the Rev. Dean Martin. Interment will be at Grace Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of Louisiana, 9418 Brookline Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70809 or Cancer Society of Greater Baton Rouge, 4919 Jamestown Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70808.
