Not sure what to say?

Janice had a tea party. Dr. Allen was in attendance. That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. I know that Janice was the love of his life. Janice, you know that it was a pleasure for me to have worked with such a good surgeon and a wonderful human being.
God bless,
Ann Moorehead

George was such a loving husband to my sister Janice. It was a treat to watch him carve a holiday turkey--pure artistry. He loved a good story and I can see his grin and hear his chuckle today. Even at the end of his brave struggle with cancer, he spoke lightly of it over the telephone. George seemed to want to reassure and comfort ME when I called to offer my support to HIM. Peace be upon him and Janice both.

George was always kind, soft spoken, and caring towards others. He was brave to the very end and someone we will always cherish. Words cannot do him justice nor can they do justice for our feelings for him. God has blessed him now with eternal life.

Condolences to the family of Dr. GEORGE ALLEN, one of Chicago's premier ear, nose and throat doctors, who passed away Thursday...
"CHICAGO SUN TIMES,OCTOBER 5, 2001"

HIS LONG, BRAVE BATTLE with cancer ended last week when surgeon Dr. George Allen, of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, died at 73. With his stunning wife, Janice, they were a well-known couple on the social scene. A World War II veteran, Dr. Allen had attended Harvard University, and the Columbia U. Medical School. He published more than 30 articles in his specialty-ear, nose and throat surgery. Skyline, October 11, 2001.

I cannot claim to be a friend of Dr. George- I only know that he was a fan of my television work, and that he was loved by many. I'm sure that his sense of humor and warmth
are among the many many things that
will be missed about him. May those he touched have strength and the comfort of all the good times they
have spent with him.

George was a great guy, a loving husband and a good friend. We had many wonderful times together and I will miss our friendship. Peace.

I was privileged to spend some time with George and Janice near the end of his life on this earth, and was witness to his courage, strength, and powerful love for Janice that kept him going through his difficult and painful yet inspirational days over the past months.

Thank all of you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Each of you means so much to me. God bless you. We have the most wonderful family, friends, patients and associates.
