George Edward Allen

I thought of Mr. Allen when the new Pope was announced. He and my parents would have been amazed that he grew up in Dolton! Amazed, and loved it.

Mr. Allen was next door neighbor and father of my childhood best friend. An awesome man I can still picture, someone I looked up to and still do. I would love to have contact with any Allen.

I had the pleasure of working for Mr. Allen and the family many years ago in South Holland. On occasion I drive through South Holland and remember the times I worked at the construction company. It made me look him up and I was saddened to read about his passing. Mrs. Allen, Mike and Jim, my deepest condolences to you. Sincerely, Laura Guzman (formerly Romero)
