Dr. George Allison

Bro. Allison was my boss when he pastored Mignon Baptist Church in Sylacauga, Alabama. I was the church secretary and enjoyed working with him. He and Marygene mentored my husband Dalton and me in our Christian growth. I am so glad we had a close relationship with them during this time and through the years as they moved to Florida then back to the Birmingham, Alabama area.

I am going to miss Bro. Allison and would love to have a phone number for one of the boys so I can keep up with Mary Gene. We've been friends and kept up with each other since our days at Mignon Baptist in Sylacauga and I enjoyed visits with them whenever I was in the Birmingham area.

I was so sorry to hear of Uncle George’s passing. He was one of the most faithful Christians I know. Many people loved him and will miss his guidance and presence. When you married Uncle George, I know you were his angel. Now he is yours.

So sorry for your loss, Marygene. I was a child when I went to Raleigh Avenue Baptist and we met again last year at First Baptist, Alabaster’s Joyful Stitchers when y’all visited. I know you will miss him but know where he is. May the Lord comfort you during this time.
