Dorothy,Carol, Doug and family,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss but I know that he surely lived a full life. I think how lucky my parents, Cindy and I were to have him and your family such an important part of our life from basically the time I was 1 week old (from what I am told). George and Dorthy (aka Doll) were like a 3rd set of grandparents to Cindy and I. I will always remember going over to the house on Xmas morning after we had opened presents at home to open presents...

I was lucky to have known Captain Altman for over 50 years. He was a hero in WWII and an outstanding fire fighter and officer on the Hamilton Fire Department. He was a leader and friend. I enjoyed many years of conversations with George. I will miss not seeing him again. He will be missed by many. My sincere sympathy to his wife and family.
