You were a good friend. You helped me through some very difficult times. I will miss you. Thalia

George was always very positive and considerate to people in the Chicago sports community and in all walks of life. It was good seeing him outside the locker rooms at Bulls games and in other sports and entertainment settings in Chicago or to talk with him on the phone.
George seemed to genuinely root for the success of others such as I - even if he had no business relationship with them. He was always available and helpful in the early years of WSCR Radio, The Score.

I am proud to call George my friend. Since I was a sophomore in high school. He had the keys to the gym. He helped me with all types of things. I helped him when I could. I will miss him.

I have so many fond memories of my time working with George and family at Andrews & Andrews. We had so much fun at 155 N Michigan Ave. George was always so kind and generous to me and he will always have a special place in my heart. My sincere condolences to his family.

What I will remember most about you George is what our...

I love ya man! You took me and my son to his first bulls' game in your sky box. a treat that he will always remember as the Bulls beat Utah in the payoffs. You were the kindest of friends willing to give others the shirt off your back if they needed it. What can I say but, I will miss you!

George was always mindful of family / friends. Generous Donation : Salvation Army.

Although many years have passed, I fondly remember your many visits to Oglesby II, your many kind words, and your devotion to Illinois basketball. Rest easy, my friend. Joe Hrvol.
