George Kenneth "Ken" Austin Jr.

I do not know, nor have ever heard of this man before, but I'm happy to know about him and his life. I've been an architect and artist in my life, and just reading about George makes me wish I had met him. He was my older cousin with a deep love of cars - which I shared. We often talked about such things and, as years passed, we enjoyed staying in touch. He will be missed by his colleagues, community, and extended family of relatives throughout the U.S.

Ken and Joan have a special place in my heart. Ken cared deeply about other people. Paul Sturges and I were honored to be selected to work on special projects for Ken. One example was a battery powered fishing reel for a dentist friend of Ken's who had suffered a stroke. Another time was when Ken asked me to make a heated toilet seat for his mom.
