I'm so saddened to hear of Mr. Backhaus passing. He was truly a great man, a fun person, and an amazing teacher. I was very blessed to have had him for a couple of years as a teacher, and also got to take many trips with Mr. Backhaus though out the school years. He was without a doubt my favorite teacher, He was one of a kind! Please know my thought, prayers, and love are with you all during this time of sorrow.

Sorry and saddened to learn of George's passing - was a colleague for 31 years at Tamarac; always a caring and thoughtful teacher for all - Peace .
