George Baird Obituary
DeWitt
George W. Baird, 105, went home to be with his Lord on June 23, 2017.
George graduated from Bath H.S. and loved being a lifelong farmer, serving in several of the Agriculture Associations of Clinton Co. George was a former member of the Redeemer UMC and more recently a member of the Bath Baptist Church. Most of all, George loved his wonderful late wife Helen, who he married in 1932.
George was preceded in death by parents, William and Edna (McDowell) Baird, son Warren, and sisters Ella Blizzard and Evelyn Curren.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his beloved children Stanley (Pat) Baird, Bruce (Mary Ann) Baird, Clint Baird, daughter-in-law Sue Baird, ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 pm Wednesday June 28, 2017 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, with Pastor Richard Cole officiating.
The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of George may be made to Gideon's Bible, The Gideon's International Processing Center,
P.O. Box 97251, Washington, DC 20090-7251.

The Baird Family,
We were so saddened to read of the passing of Bruce's father. You were extremely fortunate to have him in your life for such a long time. To live to the age of 105 is truly remarkable. Our sincere condolence to you. May you find comfort in knowing others are thinking of you.
