Serving as a volunteer at the Baptist Health Center I had the privilege of visiting the 'Judge' almost weekly. I feel in my heart that he and I became good friends. I learned much from him about his family, his youth and his playing days for UT. Since I also like sports he and I spent many hours talking about the teams we loved. He was interesting, kind and a friend I will dearly miss. May the Lord bless him and keep him.

I appeared before Judge Balitsaris for three years in the late 80s. He was always kind, considerate and helpful to me, a very young attorney. My sympathy goes out to his family and dear friends.

It was an honor to work with Judge B. He will always be remembered as a sensitive, considerate man especially for those who worked in his Court from counsel to court officers. He will be sorely missed.
