George was a gentleman. He always had a smile when he saw you and was genuine in his handshake. I remember as a small boy going to St. Paul with my Dad for feed or supplies and getting kidded by George or Bert. He was a remarkable man and a modern Oregon pioneer.

Such a loss to his family and to the St. Paul community. May the deep consolation of God bless you all.

We will miss George. He was a very kind person who has a wonderful family. We will miss seeing him ride his horse.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. The Fletcher family had strong ties with George through my dad, Frank, who worked for the Bernards at St. Paul Feed & Supply and through the rodeo. Many great years.
