George H. Budd, 73, of Middletown, NY, died Friday, December 19, 2008 at St. Teresa's Nursing Home, Middletown, NY.

George was born in Middletown, NY on May 12, 1935, the son of the late George and Jane Gray Henry) Budd.

After graduating from Middletown High School, George joined the U.S. Air Force and served 20 years during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired as a security guard for Horton Hospital and Kolmar Laboratories, Port Jervis, NY.

He was a member of the Floyd Carter American Legion Post #1079, Otisville, a past President of Otisville/Mt. Hope Volunteer Ambulance Corps and a member of the Ontario Engine and Hose Company #5.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Sharon Virginia Post, who died October 15, 1978 and brother, Alan Budd.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn M. Clark Budd, at home; his children: Beth Koch and her husband Alan, Sara Budd of Middletown, Marilieina Bopp of Fallsburgh, Gary Budd and his wife, Karen of Grahamsville, Randy Budd and his wife, Andrea of Sparrowbush; his stepchildren, Doreen Patterson and her husband, Dave of Middletown, Ralph Brink and his wife, Kim of Bloomingburg, Linn Brink of Syracuse, Connie Hauser of Monroe, Tina Leidich and her husband, Rick of Middletown, Jeff Brink of Middletown; siblings: Gary Budd and his wife, Jackie and Dennis Budd and his wife, Jennifer, all of State of Florida, David Budd and his wife, Sherri of Middletown, Mary Jean Edwards and her husband, Robert of Middletown, Wendy English and her husband, Kerry of Goshen; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, December 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Morse Funeral Home, Inc.. 33 Railroad Ave., Middletown, NY. Fire Company, American Legion and funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Following cremation, George's cremains will be interred in the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral costs.
