Not sure what to say?

George will forever be in the green flash, walks over the troll bridge, stolen lifesavers, vocabulary battles, and political arguments over wine. He will be missed but with us forever. Love, Susie, Darin, Shea, and Calder.

Both Bob and Val are saddened by the loss of our good friend, George. We've been friends for 55 wonderful years and treasure every moment. Love to you and your family always.

Love Uncle George. We road our motorcycles out to see him and Cheryl - they treated us like royalty. So enjoyed their company. Wonderful fellowship. Enjoyed fishing for crabs and boiling them on the spit and watching and seeing the Green Flash.
Uncle George has the most infectious smile and laugh - great memories. God bless you, Cheryl. ?Hugs?

I remember George from his days at DTS (Delta Theta Sigma) where we shared many great remembrances. He was always a wonderful guy and one of my favorites!

We were saddened to learn that one of our closest college friends has passed away. Over the years our meetings have been too infrequent. Our most recent meeting with George was at our 2009 Fraternity Reunion in New Glarus, Wisconsin where we could again talk about our mutual Swiss heritage. Only a few years ago did we discover that our Swiss ancestors lived 3-4 miles apart in Canton Berne. There are many more wonderful memories of our days as undergraduates at UW-Madison and, of course,...

George and I shared an appreciation for a wide vocabulary. We often competed, via my daughter, a good friend of Cheryl and George, to see who could come up with the best definition of a multi-syllable word. I will miss him as a strong competitor, probably a superior one.

I'm so glad we reconnected with George and Cheryl earlier this year; We always enjoyed talking with you. George clearly was well loved by his family and friends and had a zest and great enjoyment for life, as well a a great love in Cheryl. We are so sorry you had to leave so soon. I worked with Dr. Burgermeister in the Angio Lab at Providence. He taught me a lot about digital subtraction angiography. We were both raised on dairy farms and compared many experiences about those Holstein cows. I was also lucky enough to experience the "Green Flash" at the beach house! George and Cheryl were a great couple and I cherish the time I was able to spend with them! I send my condolences to the Burgermeister family.

I will always remember George for his humor and warm spirit. George was always so welcoming and he truely cared about everyone he knew. You were my dad's cousin but you were so much more than that to the entire Kaitis family. We love you and miss you. Kathy, Jim and Evan Hewitson
