I still can see his smiling face in my mind's eye. I miss all things we could have shared. George was a good friend.

Dear George:

By now this has all become clear to you, but we may never understand why you were snatched so abruptly from us , leaving such a huge void. This could not have been what you would have wanted for yourself or those who care about you. For everyone who knew you or anyone who may have just met you had to have been struck by your enormous enthusiasm and love of life, and your commitment to being fully engaged in it at every moment.

I want you to know that my heart goes out to you and all of your family. As you know I lost my older brother (Bob) the same day due to a car accident. We have both lost someone very special in our lives and the pain and sadness is overwhelming. None of this makes any sense and it is so hard to grasp. I just know in my heart that God has a plan and now Bob and George are part of that plan. Keeping our trust and faith in God will help us get thru all of this.

I was so devastated when I heard the tragic news of George's accident. We know that we did not see each other for years at a time, but George was truly a fine person and nephew. The news of George's death has come as surprise to us all. As soon as I heard the devestating news, all those year of being apart immediately washed away. My only concern was for you and the kids. To the Calder Family:
I had the privilege to meet George on the golf course for the last two years. He is one of the people you look forward to play against, talking to and just enjoy his pleasant attitude towards life. George will be missed by all of us on Tuesday night at Saskatoon.
