I still can see his smiling face in my mind's eye. I miss all things we could have shared. George was a good friend.

Dear Dad,
I am so saddened by losing you. You truly were my best friend and i still dont want to believe that you are never coming home. I sit in the family room everyday waiting for your car to pull into the garage and to hear your shoes on the floor. I wait to hear you call zoe to the door as if she wasnt already there waiting for you. I miss the queer dance you did when you thought you were right. I miss the way youd say "BURN"...everyone who knows you knows what i mean. I can hardly...

Dear George:
By now this has all become clear to you, but we may never understand why you were snatched so abruptly from us , leaving such a huge void. This could not have been what you would have wanted for yourself or those who care about you. For everyone who knew you or anyone who may have just met you had to have been struck by your enormous enthusiasm and love of life, and your commitment to being fully engaged in it at every moment.
I'm sorry I am not going to...

Faye,
I want you to know that my heart goes out to you and all of your family. As you know I lost my older brother (Bob) the same day due to a car accident. We have both lost someone very special in our lives and the pain and sadness is overwhelming. None of this makes any sense and it is so hard to grasp. I just know in my heart that God has a plan and now Bob and George are part of that plan. Keeping our trust and faith in God will help us get thru all of this.

Dearest Betsy, Sean & Kelly,
I was so devastated when I heard the tragic news of George's accident. We know that we did not see each other for years at a time, but George was truly a fine person and nephew. We did not get to spend very much time with him as an adult, but we did during his childhood. He was always fun and was a real artist. I remember him drawing fantastic pictures as a little tot. Our family will sorely miss him and all of you are in our prayers. Sorry we could...

Dear Bets,
The news of George's death has come as surprise to us all. As soon as I heard the devestating news, all those year of being apart immediately washed away. My only concern was for you and the kids. Then I started thinking about all the memories we shared with you and George. Remember I used to go on your dates with you. I'd have to sit in the back of George's white work van. I had to make sure he was good enough for you. As it turned out he was. He was so much fun to...

To the Calder Family:
I had the privilege to meet George on the golf course for the last two years. He is one of the people you look forward to play against, talking to and just enjoy his pleasant attitude towards life. George will be missed by all of us on Tuesday night at Saskatoon.
You all are in my prayers and I look forward to golfing with George in heaven.
Love and prayers,
Laura Orean
