His Journey's Just Begun

Don't think of him as gone away-
his journey's just begun,
life holds many facets-
this earth is only one...
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing...

Our condolences to the family. We know he is resting peacefully and playing his great music to our Lord. I will miss him. I played trumpet with his first group with someone call Arturo. We played at that place on the corner of Zarzamora and Martin. Upstairs 2nd floor. We where with the Lanier Band also. Alejandro & Hopie

You will be greatly missed ....

I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. My husband larry zimmerle and George were good friends. In conversations Larry only had praise for him as a Musian as well as a friend. My family and I send you our prayers and our condolences.

George, I can only tell you that it sure has been a great pleasure to have hung out with you all these years that I could honestly call you a great friend. Rest in Peace my brother and we'll see you down the road some day.

George you were an inspiration to many and your recordings you leave behind will inspire that many more. We will miss you as I know your close friends there in San Antonio already do. God Bless Your Soul. My deepest condolences to the Cantu family. This man was a terrific person. Just the first time around him was like as if I knew him for a long time. That is just how easy he was to get along with and how comfortable he made you feel around him.

So sorry for your list.. Prayers to the family from Reyna in new Braunfels, tx.

Join those great horns from up above. I'm grateful that I grew up with my Dad taking us as children to come hear you play it was such a unique sound that you could grow to appreciate and admire. Part of my roots. Rest easy Uncle George, gone but never forgotten.

My condolences to the entire Cantu family. May you rest in peace my friend. It was an honor to have been on the same stage with such a talented musician.
