Dear George's Family,
Our heartfelt condolences for your tremendous loss. Truly, George was an inspiration to all that knew him. And, it was an honor to have him in our lives for the past 3 years. George's quiet demeanor, intellect, big wide grin, sense of humor, and "healthy" appetite were an inspiration to us all. We cherish the many times that we dined with George, and will miss him greatly. Our thoughts are with you during this time.

It is with deep sympathy that I write you about the death of your father. Please offer my condolences to your family as well. Your dad was a wonderful man - such a treasure! I have so many fond memories of him, and your mom from living on, and visiting the IOP. I remember when we lived there, he used to sing "Cindy, Oh, Cindy" to me every time he saw me. I can't hear that old song without thinking of him! I hope your happy memories will help you during this difficult...

Carol and Family, I was saddened to read of your dad's death. I have wonderful memories of your dad and mother as we grew up on the Isle of Palms in the 50's and 60'. Carol Lynn, It is with a heavy heart that I see the passing of your father. Your family was so close to us and I have o many fond memories of staying on 21st St after moving to James Island. George and "Snowy" we like my second parents and living on IoP was like paradise! Snakes, wild Turkey's, and Horned Toads made it so magical. We were blessed have the Methodist church and great neighbors to look out for us. With your Dad's passing and Henry Shaffers too it's just not the same. God bless...

We are so sorry about the death of Mr. Chaconas. We thank him for his service to our country, fighting to rid our world of tyranny, cruelty and injustice. We owe so much to "The Greatest Generation". We hope and pray that family and loved ones will find strength and comfort in your faith and your memories.

My father John H. Smith Sr. worked with Mr. George many years ago in the forestry and logging businesses respectively. My father always spoke highly of him and considered him as an honest friend and good man...Condolences.
