It is July 25,2021 and I just found the sad news on the internet.my deepest condolences to Chamber’s family. It has probably been 45+ years since I was in touchbut the fond memories I have of George and his brothers, will be with me forever. The Insomniac, Ashgrove, Fillmore, Newport Folk Festival, the Crenshaw housesome of the best memories of my life. Sending all my love to all Chambers family members near & far and dear Marian Pagano ❤

George and his band changed my life. RIP George Chambers.

Just heard about Pop's passing. He was truly the anchor of the band and just the sweetest soul. He and the brothers would sometimes stay at my parents' house in Boston in the early/mid 60s when they played in the area. I was just 4-5 years old, but remember him vividly. He told of how envious he was when 'baby Joseph' came in the room one morning with a deep beautiful bass voice and George skolded him and said 'I wanted to be the bass in the family'. So he played the bass in stead.

Sing for the Almighty in the heavens, he will be wanting to sing along with you. I know u are truly missed.

George and his brothers made truly great music and lifted the spirit of everyone who heard them perform.
