My condolences to George's family. I never met George but wish I had. Sounds like George had an incredible 106 years. What a wealth of knowledge he must have had.

Not only did I grow up across the street from the Chanter family, I was touched by George's connection to my Mom (Gena Wal Czech) after my dad died and Lois was no longer alive...George Chanter was an example to all of us ... he took the idea of "aging" to a whole new level of living. Wonderful man. He will be missed by many. Heartfelt condolences to Susan, Teddy and the next generation of Chanters.

Your dad was an amazing man. Just last year when I was in rehab he learned I was a friend of Susan and he wheeled himself to my room to visit me. He was so kind and cheerful. Brian and I are very sorry for your loss.
