Not sure what to say?

Hi Chisholms

I grew up on Halifax and remember the wonderfull times when Mr.Chisolm would take us kids to the drive in or up to Northfield Skating Ring. I last saw Mr. Chisholm in 2006 and he was in such great spirits and looked the same as he did 20 years ago. He will be missed but never forgotten in our hearts.

Hi Chisholms,
I'm Billy Gallagher's mother and I first met George in Frances' hospital room one time when he came to visit her. We took to each other right away. I enjoyed meeting him and enjoyed talking to him. What a nice man. I'm truly sorry for your loss, but I'm sure he's with Francis and his Saviour now. God bless.

I am one of George Chisholm's nieces. I must admit that for many, many years I was scared to death of Uncle George. He was always rough and grumpy - and talked about my "mammy" (and he'd talk about yours also!).

I was so very fortunate to grow up though, and to get know the real George Chisholm! Beneath that rough exterior was a gentle teddy bear that LOVED to be loved!

I was also so very fortunate to get to see Uncle George at least once a year, if not more, when I...

I am one of George's granddaughter's. My grandfather will be greatly missed by us all. I will always remember him telling me to "Get that thumb out your mouth."
I will miss him cooking me peanut brittle during my summer vacations and telling me stories of when I was a little girl. My grandfather encouraged me to push on with the stories of his lifetime and my mother Deborah's. He will be greatly missed. I love you Grandpa.

I am his oldest niece and was with Uncle George last in July of 2005 on a trip to New Jersey, along with Aunt Laura, Uncle Ted and my mother, Helen Viola Barnes ( his older sister by 1 year) for a memorial service for his sister Francis Coleman. We had a wonderful time and I will always appreciate and remember Uncle George for his intellect and strength.
You will be missed but you are in a better place and home.

Grace and Peace,

Imelda (Moni)

It has been many years since I last saw or spoke with Uncle George and what I remember most is a big bark and a slight grin - only on the side of his lips. :-) He will fondly be remembered and sorely be missed. Condolences, and as always, Peace and Blessings!
