George "Jim" Christy

George Christy “Jim” was born in Schurz, Nevada on August 19th, 1960, to Stanford Christy Sr. and Frances Christy Hicks. As a youth he lived in Yerington, Nevada attending public school at Yerington Elementary. He attended high school at Kicking Horse Job Corp in Montana receiving his high school diploma. Jim furthered his vocational education and attended the Las Vegas Culinary Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada receiving a certificate in Culinary Arts. Jim loved to participate in sports and activities such as boxing, cross country, basketball, baseball, and football. 

Jim survived by Cheryl Christy, son Bryson, daughters Kaylee, Annie, Leanne, Eileen (James, Royce, and Clarrisa) numerous relatives, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings (Debra, Mary, Grace, Stanford Jr., Frank, and Jeff)

Jim enjoyed his grandchildren, riding his bike, sitting in the sun, and creating traditional and customary beadwork. He had a great since of humor and loved his family.
