Not sure what to say?

Mr. Cole was my instructor at SFCC in 1980. He was a very positive influence, and very encouraging to me. I never followed through on my commitment to broadcast journalism as a career. But still remain very interested and a student of the craft. My sympathies to the family, and hopes that their lives are full of great memories of a gifted man.

George was a remarkable man, who to this day, I consider my second dad. I am better person for having him in my life. My deepest condolences to Susie, Francine, Spencer and the rest of the family.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of George for Susie, his family and our Bozeman community. I will forever remember and honor George for his depth, integrity, and commitment to democratic principles, which he lived and stood for in voice and action. Deep peace of the heavens to you George, as you travel the mysteries, untethered from the gravity here.
Blessed be,
Debra Ramsdell, Bozeman, MT

I met George when we were students at the University of Montana, almost 50 years ago. My wife, Ann, and I have remained dear friends with George and Susie. We have always been in awe of their adventuresome life. George truly lived dozens of lives within his single lifespan. Few of us have achieved that. And George always had an incredible enthusiasm for life that was invigorating to everyone he came in contact with. You lived a wonderful life, George, my dear friend. That is your gift...

Dear Susie and Family,
Our deepest sorrow to you with the passing of George. We are grateful, George, your earthly journey has passed, and you are at peace with God. Much Love to you.

George was a man of depth and breadth, kindness and compassion and passion. We are honored to have been his friends. We miss him already.

So sorry for your and your family's loss, Susie. Glad you had so many good years together. George will be remembered fondly by so many friends and colleagues. I truly admired him so much. In deepest sympathy.

A wonderful and courageous man. Fumi and I will miss him forever, our good and long-time amigo. Thank you, George, for being my friend.

We are very sorry to learn of George's passing but grateful for his service to our nation with the Peace Corps in Malaysia.
