His honor the Mayor was a very important part of life growing up in the great city of Revere. I will never forget his dignity and respect that he showed my family and I threw the years. My deepest sorrow to his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Amen. My deepest sorrow Kevin Piana

Dear Mrs. Colella and all George's family: just a word to express my shock and dismay at the loss of such a beautiful man. To me and my family he was the milk of human kindness --- a bright intelligent man with the vision to help Revere grow strong!! I was very fortunate to sit beside George 6 out of the 8 years I was a City Councillor. Having had George as a political role model, I enjoyed immensely when John Henry called our names during roll call, at the beginning of our meetings......
