WHEN I OPENED MY REAL ESTATE OFFICE ON BROADWAY IN FEB, 1986 HE STOPPED BY TO GREET ME AND TO WISH ME WELL. OVER THE YEARS I HAD A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH GEORGE AND ALWAYS HIGHLY REGARDED HIM AS A FRIEND. ------DANNY SORDELLO.

His honor the Mayor was a very important part of life growing up in the great city of Revere. I will never forget his dignity and respect that he showed my family and I threw the years. My deepest sorrow to his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Amen. My deepest sorrow Kevin Piana

With Sincere Sympathy to the Colella Family.George was a man who loved his Family and his City. Revere will never forget this proud man.

My sincere condolences on your loss. Mr. Colella helped so many people during his lifetime. I am sorry that I was not able to be with you at the wake and funeral, because I was in Florida at the time. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Colella and you.

Dear Mrs. Colella and all George's family: just a word to express my shock and dismay at the loss of such a beautiful man. To me and my family he was the milk of human kindness --- a bright intelligent man with the vision to help Revere grow strong!! His absence will be devastating -- however his presence in heaven with the Almighty will be overwhelming!!! I'm truly shocked and saddened and wish you all the best in these sad times. Sincerely, Charles Downey

I was very fortunate to sit beside George 6 out of the 8 years I was a City Councillor. Having had George as a political role model, I enjoyed immensely when John Henry called our names during roll call, at the beginning of our meetings......

Deepest sympathies to the Colella family. George was a kind and honorable man who dedicated his life to public service. His name will always be synonymous with the city and the people of Revere.
