Not sure what to say?

Mr. Commings,
I was so sad when my mom called me (in Israel) to let me know what happened. I'm so sorry. You were the only teacher who I actually would go visit in between classes. You made such a big impact on my life. I really felt like I could talk with you. You really cared about all your students, and always wanted to make sure that I was okay.
I can't believe that you're gone. You've impacted so many lives.
My heart goes out to your family, who you always talked about with such...

Mr. Commings was an amazing teacher. He had individualized methods of teaching that helped reach out to kids and affect him. I had him as a teacher at Huron for three classes, and in each one he opened my eyes.

George,

Word has reached Oregon of your passing. You will be so missed. We had many great conversations in the halls of Huron over the years. I wish we could have had one more, my friend.

You were always one of our great teachers, and you touched thousands of kids with your understanding, compassion, and kindness. God bless you.

The Hart family would like to extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Commings' family. Our daughter, Deanna, enjoyed having him as a teacher at Huron; she would so very often have a story of the day involving Mr. Commings and relate to us something new or interesting or fun she learned from him. He will be sorely missed.

My heart goes out to George's family. He was so proud of all of you and "bragged" about you quite frequently. I had the honor of subbing in George's classroom from time to time. He always welcomed me with open arms as he walked me through his plans for the day. He was usually off to "babysit" for his granddaughter with a huge smile on his face. I will miss seeing his smiling face when I sub at Huron. My thoughts are with all of you at this very sad time.
