Not sure what to say?

I am one of George's many nieces. I always loved when Uncle George would come to Mom's (Hazel Greene) and we would all sit around listening to George tell his many wonderful stories. He was and still is (I'm sure) a character, and even though he will be sadly missed here on earth the angels are rejoicing. I can't wait to see him and Uncle Bill when I pass through those pearly gates.

To: Pat and Gloria
My name is Mary Artrip. I am Irene Cornett's sister. I remember when you lived in Wise. Gloria was just a little girl. My dad and mom (Maggie and Webster Hubbard)adored Gloria and thought a lot of you and George. Today is a very sad day for me and our daughter. My husband passed away Sun. 12 and funeral services were today. My prayers are with you.

My thoughts and my prayers have been with you and praying that God will comfort your hearts. What a celebration when he reached home! We will miss him but he will always be in our hearts.

Even though I'm not there with you, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. George was like a father to me at times. He always encouraged me by the way he lived his life. I love him very much and will always carry him in my heart.

Uncle George is Heaven bound where he will be reunited with his mother, father, Uncle Bill and so many others who have gone before him. What a glorious day!
He will be sadly missed by those left behind who love him. God Speed Uncle George!

I am one of Hazel's (George's sister)daughters. I am so glad that we began having family reunions involving the Cornetts. I met so many wonderful people and Uncle George was one of the most. He had a sweet spirit. I envy him being with our Lord. I am sorry I won't be able to be with so many loved ones at his funeral. I am there in spirit. God bless all of us!

Our thoughts and prayers and with you and the entire family.

My most favorite memory of Uncle George is when he visited my family at our home in the Hurricane Section of Wise. He talked about how beautiful that part of the the country was and how blessed we were to live there. I was only about 6 or 7 years old and it made me so proud to be from Wise, Virginia.

Later in life, I visted him and his family in Huntsville, Alabama along with my mother, Hazel Greene, and her sister, Shelby Nixon. I'll never forget that visit--Pat (Frances) made...

My prayers and thoughts are with you all. This is from sister Janice
