I knew George in his 80s when I was introduced through a mutual friend who thought we might enjoy meeting. I was in my 30s and just starting a graphic design practice. His studio on 42nd street was nearby we would go for an occasional, but regular martini. George was warm, inviting, and open. He was funny. He was also inspiring and manifestly generous. I treasured knowing and seeing a designer model such a long and rich career. He shared his work, his time, and his enduring positive spirit....

George was our landlord back in 1967 in Clinton Hollow NY! My name was nancy Zeising then. My children and Sarah (William not born until much later) loved the Little Wappingers Creek and George and Jean were so good to know. My regards to all and I am glad I knew George. Nancy
