Not sure what to say?

I remember dear Dr. Crawford well. When I first went to William & Mary as a young secretary in the Physics Department, I was only 21 years old. Dr. Crawford used to bring me roses from his rose garden, telling me the names of each one. Back then he wrote an article in the Virginia Gazette on Astronomy each week, telling people what they would be able to view in the night sky. I typed all those articles (back before computers), learning much myself in the process. He was a wonderful,...

Mr. Crawford was a great man with a lot to offer. He was very eager to help anyone that was wanting to learn. He wanted to teach anyone who wanted to learn. We had a lot of fun times together riding around and looking at the different houses in the country club. He would give his opinion on which ones he like and disliked. We had fun. We will miss you, Uncle George! We spent so many Christmas dinners together, enjoying family and stories of years back. You were a great man and beloved uncle. We love you very, very much! Sincerely, Janet Crawford Harris and Family

Dear George,
Your time on earth was truly a gift not just to you-but those who knew and loved you. I agree with Jennifer-such an amazing soul. Also agree with Pattie (my mom)-we will truly miss seeing you at our Crawford reunions.
May God welcome you to heaven, with honors.

I hope cousin George is having a wonderful, long-awaited homecoming, and enjoying all the southern fried chicken he can eat in the company of his dear Frances.

I will miss seeing him at the Crawford reunions.

Sunday night Dr.G gave me a final memory....He asked me to join him in prayer, it was so beautiful and touching to hear him pray aloud.....and now he is gone.....I will miss Dr.G so very much. Such an amazing soul. Although, I only knew him a short time, I will remember him FOREVER! I feel blessed to have had him and his family and all the wonderful ladies, who I worked with take care of him, in my life. Rest in peace Dr. G, I will see you again someday.....
