Mr. George Alvin Cureton Jr., 36, of Charlotte, NC, departed this life on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at  Atrium-Pineville.

George Alvin Cureton, 36, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.  Born in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 21, 1989, George was known for his radiant smile, signature dimples, quick wit, and the warmth he shared with everyone who knew him.


A graduate of Waddell High School, George built a career marked by dedication and kindness, most recently serving as a dietary supervisor at Briar Creek Retirement Home, where he was loved by coworkers and respected by residents.  


He will be remembered for his love of breakfast, especially bacon, his sharp sense of style, and his ability to bring laughter into any room.  George was on a journey with Yahuah, and he will be greatly missed.


George is survived by his mother, Tina Cureton; brothers, Bruce, Tevon and Domonique Cureton; his sister, Toya; and sister-in-law, Taisa Cureton; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.  


He was preceded in death by his father, George Moore.
