Not sure what to say?

I was incredibly saddened when I learned of George's passing today. Once the initial shock eased a bit, my first thought was, 'He's with Toph - they're together!' And while I'm not awfully sure that Heaven and God are ready for that - it brings me great comfort.

To Penny and George, Irene and the Boys - there simply are no words. My memories are rich, but my heart simply aches for you all. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

George im hoping you and topher are enjoying your view from above...RIP old friend...

George and I were "Best Friends" from when I first met him at age 7 something. We shared endless hours, like the movie "Stand By Me", playing army and exploring the woods behind our houses. We rode our bikes up and down Astor Lane at least 2,000 times during our friendship. Boy Scouts was a big part of our friendship where we hiked, camped and enjoyed fireside chats. George and I lost touch after high school as is in many cases. I was not fortunate to know George as a husband or father,...

If I were to pen a true tribute to George it would seem contrived and cliche. But the fact is, George WAS a fantastic guy who REALLY DID light up a room when he entered and I REALLY AM so thankful for having had the opportunity to know and work with him. Every single person should have a little George D'Antonio in him; the world would truly be a better place if so.

George will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace. I rembered you being a great friend to those you cared about. You will be missed

All I can say is that I could stand to be more like George. An amazing guy that showed me how to have class and dignity in any circumstance. The outpouring of support, grief and fond recollections are inspiring testimony to the positive impact he had on an unusually large group of people...

I am so sorry to hear the sad news. I met George 25 yrs ago when I was an au pair . A while back I found George on fb, and I am so grateful we got to mail each other with news from our life. George was a wonderful guy, always happy and always up for a game of darts at cj's. Luckily I got pictures from a wonderful time with him and the other guys at the bar. George, I hope you sit at a bar with topher, and I hope you smile and play darts. To George's wife and kids: I am so sorry for your...
