I was privileged to spend 12 years in school with George in Florence SC from first grade at Royall Elem, at Moore Jr. High, and finally, we graduated from McClenaghan High in 1961. He was a leader in those years and continued leading and caring for patients for the rest of his life.
He touched thousands of lives and will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

Oh, Ingrid, I am so sad to learn of your loss of George. You were true soulmates and have had such a wonderful, exciting life together. A beautiful couple and a beautiful, large family - you are blessed! I will keep you in my prayers as you go through this very painful time. I lost my husband 10 months ago today. Take care of yourself. You are surrounded by much family and many friends. Let them comfort you. Thinking of you and how long I've known you - about since the beginning when George...
