Not sure what to say?

George was my first organ teacher from 1969-71 before I went off to college. I will always have great memories of the choir, the Bach choir and all the incredible masterpieces of music we were privileged to perform and be part of under his leadership. The 10 years we waited for the Whitechapel bells were worth it, with the memories of events with the bell choir, along with "Carillon de Westminster" he played for my birthday each year. May he rest in peace, making music in heaven and visiting...

Many thanks to George's friends for sharing memories and such kind and comforting words. They are so appreciated. Wishing you many blessings.

My sincere condolences to George's family and many friends. I enjoyed the rare privilege of having been a member of George's choir for nearly a decade. The memories of that glorious music is only eclipsed by the memories of the warmth, laughter and great fellowship that accompanied the honor of being George's friend. I was fortunate to have been associated with him, and I will miss him. The music of the choirs of angels has just become much richer.

George was my good friend for many years and I shall miss him greatly. May he rest in peace.

George was a wonderful organist and friend. We will miss him, greatly. The world of church music has lost a true artist. Steve Block and Glenn Armstrong

To George's Family-
I will miss him - he was a Musician and a Friend with a tremendous sense of humor as well. Phoebe Swope-Askeland

George Decker was one of the finest musicians over four decades in Syracuse. He was a great friend and will be sorely missed. George was a devout Christian. May he rest in the peace of the Lord.

Prayers and sympathy to the Decker family. Being his associate at St. Paul's for 25 years, George's musicianship and friendship was close to our family throughout those years, and in the time to follow. His recitals and concerts will remain in our memory, as will his warm smile and concern about others. May he rest in peace.

Carol, we were so sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. You are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless.
