To the family of George De Marco, I just learned of George's death a couple of days ago and it is with great sorrow that I offer my deepest condolences. Ee were great friends for many years. I met George when we were about 13 or 14. We worked for his father at Cosmo's Grand Central Market on 7th and "E" Streets for a number of years in the 1940's. I knew his mother, sister Gerry and his uncles Coste and Dani. Great people. We were not school mates as he attended SBHS and I attended...

Please accept my condolences. I´m the only child of Daniel (parents Larry and Anna DeMarco-Newark, NY) and Minerva DeMarco. I remember "Georgie" from a trip to CA when I was 10-11 years old. At the time I remember that he owned a T-Bird convertible- even at my "tender" years I recognized this as a "hot" car. So sorry to read that Gerry passed as well! Kathy DeMarco Glitzer

George was an excellent handball player, especially in doubles. He was ranked number three behind Ted Topoleski and Bob Henley on the San Bernardino YMCA A ladder until I beat him in the Summer of 1963. As the match ended, he grinned at me and said, "Thus ends the DeMarco dynasty." He was a true gentleman and recognized as such by the other YMCA members.
