I have found this news 11 months too late. I was looking to reach out to tell Mr. Demetriades know how instrumental you were in teaching me and igniting a passion for the life sciences. I am now a teacher of the life sciences and over the years I tried to copy SOME of your teaching styles (that are not easy to administer as a new instructor)...at this stage of my career, my teaching style is still heavily influenced by you. So, thank you for helping me as a student, as a lifelong learner...

Many evenings I stood on the other side of the soccer pitch from George. It was always a competitive electric atmosphere. I relished my personal relationship with George. What a wonderful caring gentleman he was. I would always tell our fans what a great person he was. Sometimes they found it hard to believe, because of the competition level But the reality of his qualities made our usual defeat easier to take. RIP George, you were such a role model for all.
