In 1969, I had the great pleasure of meeting Mr. Dixon while I was a stock boy and he was the CEO at First Bank System. He encouraged me to stay in college and pursue a degree in Liberal Arts. I took his advice, worked full time, went to school part time and obtained a doctorate in 1992. What a great man he was.

It has been my pleasure to carve shore birds for George over the last decade. Each one he admired and then commissioned me to do another of his liking. His favorites were the osprey and the dovekie. I will miss George who had an appreciation for the detail and effort that went into my work.
