HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES TO THE DUNNE FAMILY. WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER, MY DEAR FRIEND,JUDY TOOK ME TO MEET HER UNCLE,GEORGE,HE GAVE ME A PEP TALK ABOUT GOING OFF TO COLLEGE & WISHED ME LIFE'S BEST. FROM THAT DAY I REFERRED TO HIM WHEN I SPOKE OF HIM AS "UNCLE GEORGE" I THINK HE WAS A VERY SPECIAL MAN WHO WILL BE MISSED & THOUGHT OF WITH FONDNESS BY MANY PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES HE TOUCHED.

The Chicago Province Jesuits wish to express their deepest condolences to Mrs. Dunne and all of the family at this special time of great loss. George was a cherished friend to so many and a wonderful partner of the Jesuits on the journey of faith and service. Be assured of a daily remembrance of George and all he held close to his heart in the prayers and good works of the Jesuits as they continue the journey, "Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam."

Too a well known man.

Our prayers go out to the Dunne family with the loss of Mr. Dunne. I worked for him in the Democratic organization in the 60's and he was very gracious whenever approached. The city will miss this great man.

George Dunne was my Uncle. When my Father was killed in WWII (MIA), he left a wife and eight children. On more occasions then we can remember, Uncle George helped us through difficult times. He always remembered his 'roots" and understood what it was like to be poor and in need of help. He turned no one away and always made that extra effort to see that their needs and suffering were minimized. He was, first, last and always, a man of HONOR. I only met him as a wee-child. However, I have heard many postivie stories about Uncle George.
I would like to send my thoughts to the rest of the family. and express my regrets in not meeting him when I could really remember him.
