Not sure what to say?

Wyma and family , so very sad to hear of George´s passing. We enjoyed touring NASA with you all and such a special day . George had a very special quality , could make everyone feel comfortable. So knowledgeable on many levels and had million dollar questions, stumping even our tour guide . I will always remember his kindness and love for family!

George Econ was a personal friend and valued colleague at JCC for twenty five years. He was an excellent geologist. We shared many similar experiences growing up in the Chicago area. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to the Econ family.

So sorry to hear of George's passing. His was one of my first semester professors when I was at JCC in the early 80's. I remember him as a good and kind man. May his memory be a blessing.

Hello - I was so sorry to hear of George's illness and so sorry I did not get the chance to talk with him. Our prayers and thoughts are with Wyma and all his family. I met George at age 5 and he was 4, in Evanston, our Moms told us, as we lived across the alley and became lifelong friends. He started Rock Hounding at a very young age and that became a great career. God Bless!

I met George as a freshman my first semester at TCU in 1970. He was a good and generous friend. I will miss him very much. We used to take walks together in the dead of night all over Fort Worth, often covering twenty miles or more. These and other memories of visiting George when he was a grad student at SIU will remain among my favorite times.

Im so sorry to hear about George. He was a goos man. Thoughts and prayers to your family

George was a class act. My deepest heartfelt condolences.

We were deeply saddened to learn of George's passing. Rick knew George throughout his teaching career, and I was grateful for George's support of the Jackson Science Cafe in recent years. When we hear of old coal mines being discovered during highway projects, we think of George. Our hearts go out to his family.

Wyma and family, I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
