Alexis and family,
I worked with George at Mellon in the 1990s. I also met and spoke with him many times since. He was extremely knowledgeable and, needless to say, quite a character. He spoke Of you very often. My condolences go out to you and your family. I know he will be missed. Sincerely, Lou Ryshen

I met George When he was the local Director of HUD. Our friendship blossomed immediately. He was proud of his Hungarian heritage and of his military service in post-war Korea. He often visited his daughter in Columbus, Ohio. He was a very caring father and grandfather.
One year, we drove to Detroit where we had dinner with his sister than went to a baseball game at Tigers Stadium. While there he showed me where he sat when his dad took him to a World Series game in 1945. ...
