Not sure what to say?

When Jesus saw Nathaniel sitting `under a tree, Jesus indicated that he wanted Nathaniel for an apostle because Nathaniel “was a man in whom there was no guile.”

George Erickson was such a man. George’s only agenda in life was to love – his wife, Carolyn, his children Kristy and Keith, his Church, his music, and his God. That was all George needed. No hidden agendas took up residence in George’s life. What you saw was what you got, and what you saw was pure goodness.

I never...

Dear George, you are so much missed. I loved singing in your choir. I loved your gifts of optimism, enthusiasm for liturgical music and music in general, the capacity to openness and working with so many different talents and coordinating them with finesse and fidelity. You were a wonderful friend, teacher, mentor, director, and a true Catholic Christian gentleman. You were a stellar example of goodness to everyone, and are much missed. I keep your family in prayer; please keep us in yours.

I'll never forget the first time I met George, planning my cousins wedding mass. He was so vibrant and full of life, telling Don, Molly and I stories, one leading into another. I'll really miss seeing him at the 4:30 mass on Saturdays. God Bless.

We have all suffered a great loss with the passing of our friend and colleague George Erickson. It is difficult to realize that he is gone from this earthly life. He was tall in stature not only physically but also spiritually in his many positions that he held in his too short lifetime. We were all blessed to have known such a remarkably talented and gifted man. I, personally, will miss working with him and sharing our mutual love of music and liturgy. Go with God, George, and send us your...

George was such a wonderful gentleperson. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him as long or as well as many of the members of the Music Ministry, but I am richer for having met him. His passion for the music and the message was always so powerful, it filled my heart. I will miss his kindness, his smile, his encouragement, and his gentle soul. Carolyn, Kristy, and Keith, George was so close to God here on earth, may you take some comfort in knowing that now he is at rest and peace with Him...

In our mutual prayer for the repose of the soul of the late GEORGE ERICKSON, sorely missed, and in our solidarity with his dear wife, Carolyn, and children Kristyanna and Keith, I felt the urge to write in thanksgiving in remembrance.

Amid our prayers, last year's cure through the intercession of the Servant of God Pope John Paul II was not repeated in God's mysterious plan this year and following your recent comfort visits and my absence at the tail end of bronchitis, as you know,...

George was a true leader and a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He supported the choir as a whole, but also supported each member individually, and everyone was welcome to join. His words were that if you have a pulse you’re in the choir. I was always amazed at his patience in working with people who had little talent in singing – he brought out the best in each person and never took any credit for himself, but always gave it back to the choir and was very thankful to the...

Came back to Cherry Hill to the very sad news that George will no longer grace St. Thomas parish with his presence. Whenever I see Keith up there at the podium, I recognize the good parenting done by George and Carolyn. Thanks to the Erickson family for all they do and know that George will always be in our prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with George at Weightman Group. He was such a kind and sweet man. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
