Pat and I came to Carbondale about the same time as you two, I as a young instructor in the History Department and George as a TA while studying for his MA. Our paths have not crossed much in recent years, but when they did it was always a happy encounter. May he rest in peace and may you be consoled by remembrance of your 60+ years together.
