Walden, George F., died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 87. Beloved father of Linda Collins, Anne Worcester and Betsy Schlueter. Grandfather of Annie, Jeremy, Jordan and Elizabeth.

George was born & raised in St. Louis & attended Blewett High School. After serving in the USAF he attended Harris Teachers College, Mizzou and Wash. U. He had an extensive career in advertising & was president of family- owned Rubelmann Hardware store. A baseball historian, George had a lifelong association with the St. Louis Browns. A professional scout, he was inducted into both The Baseball Writers? and The Major League Baseball Scouting Halls of Fame. George enjoyed serving as an extra in St. Louis based films.

Services this Wed at Meramec Bluffs chapel, 1 Meramec Bluffs Dr., Ballwin. Visitation, 10:00; Funeral, 11:00. Burial following at Bellefontaine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn. Friends may sign the family?s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.
