George Salim Farah

May Dr. George rest in peace.
I met George while at a concert in the cove park in La Jolla, and he invited me to the Casa. He had a knee issue and could not drive, so he asked me to drive him to local happy hours now and then. It was very nice to get to know your beloved father, grandfather, doctor, neighbor, and friend for that time.
May you all be consoled and peace be with you!

A LIFE WELL LIVED:
I was saddened by the death of George Farah and very sorry that I did not get to know him better. I moved into Casa de Mañana,.. the 1920’s historic hotel-now retirement community on the coast in La Jolla where George spent his final years.only two weeks before Covid severely limited our socializing.
I would have enjoyed George’s stories about med school in France followed by a medical internship at one of the largest hospitals in the US, Bellevue hospital in...

Here's to a great man and a great friend! I'm so grateful I got to know George through my work at Casa de Manana. He will forever be a reminder to me to live life out loud!

George was one of our best friends and colleage,I spoke to him last week on the phone and he sounded terrific.He was an excellent physician,and even better human being.We socialized with almost every week until he moved to California,but still stayed connected. Our prayer are with him, Dr,Robert Slott and Adelaida Chan
