Not sure what to say?

Such a wonderful teacher! I learned so much from his classes and I was thinking about him recently. I received the LEC information today about the Memorial Service. I hope to attend. I will never forget him! My condolences to his family. Sincerely

Sara

When LEC was Lake Erie College AND Garfield Senior College, I had Prof Farrell for a class. As it turned out, as a GSC student, I would be the only male in his class. Before the first class he pulled me aside and said, this will be a trip for both you and I! Joyfully it was and remember that conversation from nearly 41 yrs ago! RIP Prof!

George was such a wonderful man. It was always a pleasure to see him at work. He was always proper and polite and almost never had a frown on his face. The residents and staff knew him as an absolute gentleman. When I was first hired, he went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. I will never forget that. Since the day I was introduced to him, he had been nothing but kind to me. Even when other residents would be difficult or rude to me he would pull me aside and reassure me how well I was...

"Messages should be sent by Western Union, not by playwrights" ... I remember that statement from Prof. Farrell's Modern European Theater course in the 1970s. I last saw him several years ago at LEC and was so surprised that he remembered me; we had a wonderful conversation. My condolences to his sisters. Your brother touched many lives.

George was the highlight of my day at work whether fixing his TV or discussing steele mansion, he was always interesting to talk to and we could talk about anything. He was a real special individual and he will be missed.

Mr. Farrell was one of my favorite professors during my time at LEC, he was so caring and knowledgeable!! He will be greatly missed as part of the community.

George was a wonderful person that I count a privilege to have met. He was a a very intelligent and distinguished individual. I count it a blessing that he entered my life and I was able to care for him as a nurse. He is greatly missed not only by the residents at Brookdale/Emeritus but also by the staff. His presence is missed daily.

An inspiring teacher and a true friend and champion for his students. He will be missed.

George was truly one of those remarkable souls who, no matter how briefly he touched your life, left a positive, indelible mark. It has been 22 years since I ever interacted with George, yet he remains in my heart and memories as if it were yesterday. I am sorry for the loss. Yet, I know, without a doubt, his soul and influence lives on through the impact he made on so many people. Job well done, George!
