Not sure what to say?

Dear Fernbacher Family: We just heard of your father's passing, we am so sad. George always had a smile on his face and loved life! One of the first family's we became friends with after moving to Paseo Way 45 years ago. Love to all of you, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Helen and Alex Jacobs and the rest of the Jacob's family

To the Fernbachers:

Your parents were great people. They raised four neat children. They are a huge part of my memories of my seven years in the Bay Area for which I am grateful. They treated me like a son. Mrs. Fernbacher's food and Mr. Fernbacher''s stories touch me to this day. I thank you Greg for introducing me to them.

To the Fernbacher children. I just wanted you to know how sorry I am for your loss. So many memories have flashed before me -- of wonderful, fun times with Barbara and George, Sue and Doug, and Sheila and Greg. Jim and I were privileged to call your parents our friends. They have left a great legacy.

Dear Greg and Kelly- I'm so sorry to read about you losing your father. One is never really prepared for that. He sounds like such an amazing, smart, warm, ambitious man. Many condolences, Bill and Pam Martin, Orinda

Am at a loss for words - to my livelong friends and your children - I am really sorry about the loss of your dad/grandfather and our very special family friend (well minus a few of his jokes). You know I cannot be with you right now, but I will give all four of you an imaginary hug downstairs in the playroom. xoxo Vicky
