Not sure what to say?

My husband and George were great golf buddies for several years while living on Skidaway Island. He would call several times a week and I would answer the phone and we would talk. He had such a sweet spirit, and my husband Fred loved him.
Deepest regrets, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Casey

So so sorry to find this out. My husband Fred golfed with George, and loved George very dearly. He was a first class act, and a true gentleman. Heaven is a much richer place with George there. So sorry we missed the service.. Deepest sympathy, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Casey

George Flanagan C-1940

This is an awesome photo of my Great Uncle George! He gave it to me about 7 years ago while my brother John and I were on a visit to see him and Aunt Margie. I treasure it as the original photo, that a painting was done of waaaaay back in the early 1940's. I recall him saying a girl he knew painted it for him from the picture he gave me. It was done prior to him going into the war. I know right where that painting is too. It hung on the wall in my Great Gaga's house (his Mother's house)...

A great loss for many people. Uncle George was a hard man from way back. He served his country proudly and in the toughest unit, The United States Marine Corps! As hard as he was, I am glad I got to know the soft side of him over the last decade. My brother John Hartman and I, would visit him and Aunt Margie once or twice a year on Skidaway Is. They were the most gracious of hosts and always...we had a great time :) He caught a raccoon out on his back porch in a cage one time. We all...

I wish I had known about the service. I just found the notice online, and regret I didn't find it yesterday. I am truly blessed to have known George and his wife. He always was very focused on other peoples happiness. I will miss seeing him at The Oaks when I entertain the residents.

Mr & Mrs. Flanagan were such beautiful people. Mr. Flanagan always was so happy and made you feel the same way. Sorry they both are gone now. Happy Birthday George !

Many years ago I met George at Ga Pacific. He was a roofing contractor. Since that time I got to know him so very well. He was always a joy to have in my office and joke and kid with all of the office staff. He because affectionately know as "Corny" from all of the corn roasts that he sponsored. We always had a good time, including him teaching me to cast for shrimp. Such a please man with a smaile a mile wide, same as his heart. He will be sorely missed.
