George Leon Fobes

George and Scotty were goods friends and golfing partners with my parents Marv and Dorothy Berger for many years. They visited him occasionally and Mom used to call George daily to remind him of golf and other sports on TV and which channels to watch them on. They enjoyed many Elks meals as well as Tony Roma's dinners out together. He and Scotty are with Mom now who passed away Feb 1, 2010 and probably sharing golf stories. George was a Loyal Member of the Vista Elks Lodge # 1968 Located at 1947 E. Vista Way Vista, CA 92084 since April 21, 1977. He was a fantastic singer with a voice like a Opera singer, he used to lead the singing at the Lodge especially whenever a member had a birthday! George also held the Office of Trustee of the Vista Lodge for many years. George and his wife used to enjoy coming to the Lodge on Friday nights to have dinner and dance to our Live Bands.
